Brno Design Days

The 2018 Brno Design Days festival (October 4–7) brought the historic, long-closed Hotel Avion back to life under the captivating theme "The Revelation of Secrets." Curated by Alexandra Georgescu of the architectural studio KOGAA, this third edition explicitly focused on exposing the hidden, messy, and unreleased aspects of the creative process—showcasing the design secrets, failed concepts, and visionary ideas that usually stay locked inside a studio.

International design icons like Margherita Carrara (Dior) and Bertrand Schippan (MVRDV) shared their industry secrets alongside local talents through intense lectures, workshops, and site-specific installations, effectively peeling back the curtain on the design world for both the business community and the public.
